About Thrombin-JMI®
Gets to the source of bleeding and oozing
Thrombin-JMI® is indicated as an aid to hemostasis whenever oozing blood and minor bleeding from capillaries and small venules is accessible.2 In various types of surgery, solutions of Thrombin-JMI® may be used in conjunction with an Absorbable Gelatin Sponge, USP for hemostasis.2
Fast-acting1,a
Thrombin-JMI® was shown to achieve hemostasis within 3 minutes in 71% of patients undergoing spinal surgery who were treated with Thrombin-JMI®-soaked Absorbable Gelatin Sponge, USP.1
Thrombin-JMI® delivered by syringe spray was also shown to achieve a mean time to hemostasis of 54.3 seconds (range: 9.2 seconds to 2 minutes 45 seconds) in 14 patients undergoing split graft burn/reconstructive procedures.5
Dependable even under challenging conditions
Thrombin-JMI® works in wet surgical fields. And it is not contraindicated in patients on anticoagulant or antiplatelet therapies.2
